Blackjack return & variance calculator
The player speed input and software selection pulldown are the keys for this calculator, they are both used to estimate your rate of play. You can also adjust this estimate, how you can do that? Simply by changing the option Hands per Hour from the default value. The program speed estimates are based on the rates in this table. These values are used, if you select a player speed of “Maximum.” If you choose the option “High” the calculator assumes your peak rate of play is ~900 hands per hour. If the option chosen is “Medium” the program assumes your peak rate of play is ~600 hands per hour. While if the option chosen is “Low” assumes your peak rate of play is ~300 hands per hour.
The Hands per Hour data is the resume of a single player hand against a single dealer hand. If you are using a multi-hand play, The “Hand : Delay Ratio” input is used to adapt rate of play appreciations. You can see this input only when Multiple Hands is more than 1. The Hand : Delay Ratio is the proportion between the time it needs to finish one of the user hands, and the usual delay for all hands while waiting the dealer turn to play and waiting the next hand to came. A lower value helps and makes multi-hand play more useful.
